Samsonite expands luggage operations in Hungary

Leading global baggage manufacturer Samsonite Corp. has invested around 11 million euros to complete the construction of a second travel bag production plant at Szekszárd in southern Hungary.
The launch of the 20,000-square-meter facility, close to the Denver-based company’s alreadySamsonite has received state support in the current Szekszárd project in the form of a €2.85m grant from the Hungarian government.
In 2014, Budapest-based Samsonite-Hungária invested around €8m to add a new 4,400m2 production hall at the site, completed and fully operating
